Valentines Day

So Hank has never been too into Valentines day but I requested we at least do something. He brought me flowers. They are so nice... no Roses (i think they are so typical) just a nice bouquet of different coloured flowers. I love it! I got Hank a box full of goodies (truck magazine, gummie frogs, worms and peaches, some pringles chips.... etc.) it's a box for relaxation. I think he liked it. Well I hope all of you had a great day yesterday too... whether you celebrated VD or not. :D

Tuxes!!

So yesterday the guys went to go do a tux fitting. I'm so excited. They are all going to look really good. the tuxes are pinstriped. Something Hank really likes. Then they are also renting the fancy, "shiny" runners. We figure that would be the best thing for them if we end up having an outdoor wedding.

Excitement!

So yesterday I went to the Bridal store to go and make a payment on my dress and talked to a lady there about paying for my dress. She said it was fine to pay the rest over a couple of months without intererest. It came in much earlier than they even expected so they won't be too upset about it. I also got to try my dress on. It's so beautiful!!! It fits like a glove. Don't really need any alterations to it either. Just the bustle. WOHOOO!!!!! I'm so excited!!!! Time is flying by really quickly.

Last night I got a call from someone at the Wedding show that we went to in Langley last Sunday. I won a door prize!!! I got to choose who I wanted the prize from but I have no idea what it is. I was just told I would like it. I chose Razors Hair Design as I have been talking to them about doing mine and the girls' hair for my wedding day. They come to you so it takes more stress off me on that day.

Rant

ARRGGGGGHHHH. It was snowing lots yesterday. My drive home took me 2 hours from Richmond. The police had all the hills blocked off to even remotely get close to my house. Man was I frustrated. I'm glad that I bought a snack so that I could at least eat something as I was starving by the time 6:00 came around.

The drive to work this morning took me an hour when it normally takes half. Oh well what do you do?

That's my rant

My Dress!!!!

Oh my goodness... My dress is here.... My dress... the one I get to wear on my wedding day... not just to try on... Okay So I was told it was going to take close to 6 months but guess what... It's here. I can go in anytime to try it on. I'm so excited. I haven't figured out if I want to get it altered at the store or if I want to take it somewhere else and get it done. Anyone got an opinion or know of anyone who is really good at sewing and cheap?

Let me know

New Years at the Shore's

Cat just sent me some pictures from our New Years gathering at their house. We opened Christmas gifts at the same time. The first picture is of willow starting to open her the little people farm that we got her. she did really well at pulling on that paper. The third is me "trying" to read the christmas book we got her this year. I think it's a little grown up for her but the store is awesome. And them Willow and me smiling nice for the camera.

I also had to throw in this picture of Willow being all grown up on the bike she got for Christmas from mom and dad. She can't reach the pedals yet but boy does she love to be on there.

Bridesmaid Dresses

So after spending 3 hours, some tears and a little bit of frustration at the bridal shop a couple of weeks ago, the girls all put deposits on their dresses! I'm so excited! Things are finally starting to come together. I think I picked a good group of girls for the wedding party. I hope that they all like the dress that was picked out. If not you guys are good liars. :P Cat and Jen picked out the dress and Steph and Katelyn ended up having to go along with it. (sorry you two if you didn't like it) I love the dress they picked. It complements my dress quite nicely. Still have 2 more dresses to purchase. One for Jasmine (my Jr. Bridesmaid) and one for Willow (my flower girl) If anyone sees anything cute along their travels please let me know so I can check it out.

door.

3. Open door and remove cat fro m c loset.

4. Go to cupboard and retrieve rolls of wrapping paper.

5. Go back and remove cat fro m c upboard.

6. Go to drawer, and collect transparent sticky tape, ribbons, scissors,
labels, etc...

7. Lay out presents and wrapping materials on table, to enable
wrapping strategy to be formed.

8. Go back to drawer to get string, remove cat that has been in the
drawer since last visit and collect string.

9. Remove present from bag.

10. Remove cat from bag.

11. Open box to check present, remove cat from box, replace present.

12. Lay out paper to determine size to cut.

13. Try to smooth out paper, realize cat is underneath and remove cat.

14. Cut the paper to size, keeping the cutting line straight.

15. Throw away first sheet as cat chased the scissors, and tore the
paper.

16. Cut second sheet of paper to size - by putting cat in the bag the
present came in.

17. Place present on paper.

18. Lift up edges of paper to seal in present. Wonder why edges don't
reach. Realize cat is between present and paper. Remove cat.

19. Place object on paper, to hold in place while tearing transparent
sticky tape.

20. Spend 20 minutes carefully trying to remove transparent sticky tape
fro m c at with pair of nail scissors.

21. Seal paper with sticky tape, making corners as neat as possible.

22. Look for roll of ribbon. Chase cat down hall in order to retrieve
ribbon.

23. Try to wrap present with ribbon in a two-directional turn.

24. Re-roll ribbon and remove paper, which is now torn due to cat's
enthusiastic ribbon chase.

25. Repeat steps 13-20 until you reach last sheet of paper.

26. Decide to skip steps 13-17 in order to save time and reduce risk of
losing last sheet of paper. Retrieve old cardboard box that is the
right size for sheet of paper.

27. Put present in box, and tie down with string.

28. Remove sting, open box and remove cat.

29. Put all packing materials in bag with present and head for a room
with a lock.

30. Once inside locking room, lock door and start to relay out paper
and materials.

31. Remove cat from box, unlock door, put cat outside door, close
and relock.

32. Repeat previous step as often as is necessary (until you can hear
cat from outside door)

33. Lay out last sheet of paper. (This will be difficult in the small area
of the toilet, but do your best)

34. Discover cat has already torn paper. Unlock door go out and hunt
through various cupboards, looking for sheet of last year's paper.
Remember that you haven't got any left because cat helped with
this last year as well.

35. Return to lockable room, lock door, and sit on toilet and try to
make torn sheet of paper look presentable.

36. Seal box, wrap with paper and repair by very carefully sealing with
sticky tape. Tie up with ribbon and decorate with bows to hide
worst areas.

37. Label. Sit back and admire your handiwork, congratulate yourself
on completing a difficult job.

38. Unlock door, and go to kitchen to make drink and feed cat.

39. Spend 15 minutes looking for cat until coming to obvious
conclusion.

40. Unwrap present, untie box and remove cat.

41. Go to store and buy a gift bag.

My 25th Birthday

This year I decided that I didn't want to plan my birthday party. So I made Hank do it. He did a great job. ( with help from Cat and Adam )
All my good friends were there... Cat & Adam, Jenn & Matt, Jenn and my cousin Janice.
It was a great night had by all.
We first went to Montana's for dinner. Yes they made me wear the stupid moose hat. I hate that thing. Then we went bowling at Xcalibur Bowling. That was sooo much fun... I actually beat Hank for a change!!!
Check out all of the pictures from the night
